I photograph the ordinary landscape of Northern California — its buildings and towns, the order people impose on a place and what's left when they stop. I explore a place closely and interrogate what's there. I'm after what persists beyond drama, looking for the structure inside what first appears chaotic, and the line between what was controlled and what wasn't.
